I must be getting old. When I lived Way Up North on the farm, I could eat whatever I managed to catch and not be bothered a bit. Of course, I only hunted for sport since my original human made sure I had my tablespoon of chicken flavored stinkygoodness every morning and all the crunchy food I could eat. Now that I've retired to Florida and don't leave the house, my hunting is a bit more limited. Sometimes, though, I still manage a catch. Like last night.
Unfortunately, early this morning, about 2 a.m. something was really not agreeing with my digestive system. I was feeling uncomfortable so I crept up from the foot of the bed to be right on top of my Human's chest. She was sound asleep. I laid my head on her hand, which was on top of the quilt. It was nice and cozy, but my stomach still wasn't settled so finally I just, uh, "hurled my chunks" up right on top of her hand.
Let's just say, that woke her up. She started asking if the OtherHuman were awake. Which due to her continued process of asking, assured that the OtherHuman and anyone else who might have been sleeping within a five mile radius became awake. OtherHuman immediately (or what passes for "immediately" when one is woken up from a sound deep sleep in the middle of the night) went for paper towels; gathered the chunky results of my hurling and proceeded to tell the Human, in great detail, that they appeared to contain lizard pieces intermingled with regular stinkygoodness.
The Human was not behaving in an overly polite manner toward this description. In fact, at this point she was so rude that I left the room. My chunks got flushed without further analysis. So I'm left to ponder whether that really was a lizard I ate last night.

Wow! A lizard! What's a lizard? I'm sorry it made your tummy upset!!
Lizard pieces? Bwaaahahahahaha... I bet your Human really liked that, huh? Hmm. I'm sorry she was so rude to you, though, when your tummy didn't feel good. :( Maybe you should hurl on her again tonight and give her another chance?
How rude to discard your... gift.
Yikes I think that would upset a tummy. I've never eaten more than a few small bugs and they seem to go down ok. And congrats on the new member of the family. She's a beauty!!!
Oh and it seems like Maggie might be a torti... even though she has white based on this link and the links below it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calico_cat. I think calicos have larger color blotches. Whatever she is she is really adorable and I like the idea that she's a tortico that someone else mentioned!!
Never good to hurl on mombeans in the middle of the night! Oh, and welcome, little miss Maggy Fu, to the blogging world and your new furreffer home!
Oh my goodness, that's hilarious (especilly when it is not me holding the hurl in the middle of the night. He, he).
our Lady is purrty tolerant of barf, but she sez if it had lizzerd pieces in it she'd freak. we shure hope yur people asked you how you wuz feelin' an showed sum concern fur yur health. we care 'bout you anyway - how're ya feelin' now?
You didn't eat the Geico lizard, did you? I kinda like him.
Heh. I have to remember that. Stealth barfing right onto human flesh...I could do that!
Hahahahahahheeeheeeehahahaha...oops I shouldn't be laughing so hard.
Now Blackie no more leapin' lizards fur yu!

Bwhhahhaaaahahahaa! Mom almost choked herself when she read about yur *midnight hurl*. That must have been a nasty leezard you ated and you needed to get rid of him.
MMaybe she's just upset that yuo didn't present it to her alive first.
We are excited to see Maggy Fu! Nothing like a kitten to liven things up! She is absolutely dwarfed by the water bowl in that picture! Cute!
Blackie, you have my sympathy. I, too, have been known to throw up at inopportune moments and I know I don't hunt lizards!

Well, what can one say--that's life! I"m sure she cleaned her hand real well afterward! No harm done,ah! Nugget and Louise
Did you even have a lizard anywhere around the house? Wait-I do remember my family saying the critters are all over Florida-so I kinda think you were having a mixed snack there!
We eat the geckos here. They are pretty tasty. Sometimes they come back up. ~Merlin, Shadow, Ko kO
Hmmm. Your human should have been appreciative that you didn't hurl in her shoe. Besides, lizard is acceptable food for Cats. My One Who Came Before ate them all the time. They did give him stinky gas though.
What's lizzerd? I haf eaten most fings when I catch it, but I don't fink I haf efurr eaten lizzerd. Mum says thay don't live here, but she sez we get newts in the streams which are like little lizzerds.
